I started getting tattooed pretty much right away when I turned 18. Since then I haven't gone an entire year without getting something done and every time I sit down in that chair I ask myself, "why the hell do I continually put myself though this ridiculous pain?!"--that being said I am the worst person to tattoo! Somehow I've managed to get through a ton of hours... and I cant picture myself not getting tattooed in the future. It was fun going through all my photos and putting this log together!

How to feel miserable as an artist.......

1. "Constantly compare yourself to other artists.

2. Talk to your family about what you do and expect them to cheer you on.

3. Base the success of your entire career on one project.

4. Stick with what you know.

5. Under value your expertise. 

6. Let money dictate what you do.

7. Bow down to societal pressures. 

8. Only do work that your family would love.

9. Do whatever the client/customer/gallery owner/patron/investor asks.

10. Set unachievable/overwhelming goals to be accomplished tomorrow".
